Process Steps

1. Stall Detection
Martian monitors T&E approval queues and detects when an expense report exceeds the agreed approval SLA or stops moving in workflow.

2. Approver Notification
The approver receives the report summary and a one-tap approve or return action on Teams, Slack or email — no need to log into the ERP.

3. Escalation
If there is still no action within the SLA, Martian escalates to the approver’s manager or a designated finance contact, and keeps escalating by policy.

4. Verification
Martian confirms in the system of record that the report has been approved and the payment released, then closes the item.

5. Analytics
Finance sees where approvals stall, by department, approver and report type — and which policies to tighten.
